Ludhiana: As a strategic step toward enhancing the educational experience and strengthening the bridge between parents and teachers, government schools across the district organized a “Mega PTM” and parent workshop. Held just before the commencement of the new academic session, the event focused on a diverse range of agendas, including the declaration of final exam results for non-board and fifth-grade classes. Beyond academics, the meet included counseling sessions, the distribution of Holistic Progress Cards (HPC), updates on SMS attendance alerts, and guidance for female students regarding the HPV vaccination.During the interaction, school officials provided a special briefing to parents, advising against comparing their children with others. Instead, they encouraged a home environment focused on the philosophy of “My only competition is me.” Counseling was also extended regarding the seamless transition into the next academic year to ensure students join their new classes without any gaps. The event saw active participation from administrative leadership, with District Education Officers (DEOs), BPEOs, and Resource Coordinators visiting various campuses. While observing established guidelines, these officials actively sought suggestions from parents for the betterment of educational institutions. To formalize this feedback, school heads provided suggestion boxes for both parents and students. All feedback and observations are being uploaded via digital forms to the head office for future improvements.Government schools in the district are slated to begin the 2026-27 academic session in the first week of April for non-board classes. For board-appearing students, the new session schedule will be finalized once their ongoing final examinations are concluded. This comprehensive outreach marks a concerted effort to modernize the state’s primary and secondary education framework through direct community engagement.
