Jamshedpur: Kolhan University (KU) has reconstituted the internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) to improve the functioning of the university. KU officials said the primary objective of the IQAC would be to prepare a vision document, which would enable the varsity to implement it across the board and help improve its grade given by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation).KU vice-chancellor (VC) Anjila Gupta, who is the head of the IQAC, asked the fellow members of the committee to prepare the vision document, keeping in perspective the academic and sports requirements of the varsity for the next 15 years. “The geopolitical happenings, scientific innovations, space breakthroughs, IT-enabled new services, changing nature of jobs in the industry, besides sports and arts fields, will be the operational area for preparing the vision documents,” said varsity spokesperson Ashok Kumar Jha.The VC aims to recalibrate and reshape the educational and sports curriculum in accordance with the world requirements driven by artificial intelligence. Reforms in the administrative field are also on the cards, he added.KU obtained a ‘B’ grading from the NAAC in the last assessment. With 22 colleges and 80,000 students under its belt, KU is the leading university of the Kolhan division.
