Patna: A 15-year-old girl from Kishanganj district was allegedly kidnapped and raped over a period of two months in Delhi. The accused allegedly forced her into a vehicle parked near her house, drugged her, and took her to Delhi on May 5. She was then held captive in a room for two months, and was repeatedly raped. On July 15, the accused finally dropped her at the Kishanganj railway station and fled.The incident came to light when the rape survivor, along with her father, went to the local police station and filed a written complaint against the accused on July 18. The case was later referred to the women’s police station. “A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC and Pocso Act. We have launched an investigation, and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. The medical examination of the girl has been done, and her statement recorded,” said Sunita Kumari, women police station in-charge.The accused, identified as Musharraf (25), has been booked under several sections, including rape, kidnapping, and the Pocso Act. According to the rape survivor’s statement, the incident occurred on May 5, 2025, when she was alone at home. She managed to escape once but was caught by the accused, who threatened to kill her if she tries it again. He later promised to release her if she remained silent about the ordeal. On July 15, the accused finally left her at the Kishanganj railway station and escaped. The victim’s father, in his complaint, stated that they initially remained silent due to social stigma and continued searching for their daughter. After her return, when the family approached the accused’s father, Tafzul Rahman (50), and brother, Sakir (28), they were threatened and pressured to settle the matter through the village panchayat. The complaint was delayed due to the village panchayat. Later, on July 18, the girl was taken to the women’s police station to file the complaint.
