New Delhi: Kimberly-Clark India has partnered with UNICEF India to expand menstrual and maternal health services across several Indian states, aiming to reach nearly 2.88 million adolescent girls, women, and infants, while engaging another 2.87 million community members through awareness and behavioural change initiatives.
The collaboration will focus on improving access to menstrual health education, maternal care, and early childhood well-being. The initiative will be implemented across states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Gujarat.
The partnership aims to strengthen national and state health systems, enhance adolescent-friendly services, and improve community awareness so that girls and mothers can make informed health decisions.
“The collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to improving access to health and dignity for women and girls through long-term community impact initiatives,”said Rahul Asthana, Vice President and Managing Director of Kimberly-Clark India.
The programme aligns with broader national efforts to improve public health outcomes and gender equality as India advances toward its development goals.
“The initiative recognises the interconnected nature of menstrual health, maternal wellbeing, and early childhood development, and aims to ensure that women, girls and children have access to the knowledge and services needed to thrive,” said Cynthia McCaffrey, Representative UNICEF India.
