T’puram: A 26-year-old youth from Kerala was found dead in a lake in the UK under mysterious circumstancs. The deceased was identified as Vishnu Jayakumar, hailing from Avanavancherry, Attingal.Vishnu, who was residing in the UK, had gone out with a group of friends on Saturday in Coventry. When he failed to return to his residence even by late Sunday, his family lodged a complaint with the local police. However, the police reportedly informed them that he was likely to return on his own.On Monday, a friend who had travelled with Vishnu informed the family about his disappearance. Subsequently, on Thursday, police recovered Vishnu’s body from Swan Valley Lake in Coventry, four days after he was last seen.Family members have raised suspicions over the circumstances leading to Vishnu’s death. Seeking a detailed probe and assistance in repatriating the body, the family has submitted a petition to MP Adoor Prakash. tnn
