Bengaluru: The Karnataka high court Wednesday quashed the investigation against spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar in a public land encroachment case registered by the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force. The court had earlier stayed the investigation, pointing out that a perusal of the complaint prima facie indicated there were no allegations against the Art of Living Foundation founder.Sri Sri had said a PIL had sought a direction to the state to demolish apartments constructed by allegedly encroaching a govt land at Kaggalipura village in Bengaluru South taluk. The court was told that he did not own any land at the location, and the question of him encroaching any land would not arise. It was stated that the police notice indicated that there were land-grabbing allegations against the other accused and that Sri Sri’s name did not even figure in the report submitted by the Bengaluru South tahsildar, which was placed before the jurisdictional court for land-grabbing cases.
