HYDERABAD: Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh was sworn in as the seventh Chief Justice of the Telangana high court on Saturday. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma administered the oath of office in a formal ceremony attended by a host of dignitaries, including chief minister A Revanth Reddy at Raj Bhavan.Justice Singh will assume court duties on July 22. He is scheduled to sit alongside senior judge Justice P Sam Koshy in the first court division bench to hear cases.The event was marked by the presence of several key officials and public representatives, including judges of the high court, Telangana State Bar Council chairman A Narasimha Reddy, registrar general S Goverdhan Reddy, chief secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, senior bureaucrats, and politicians.In addition to the chief minister, his cabinet colleagues Bhatti Vikramarka and Damodar Raja Narasimha were present, along with assembly speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, legislative council chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, MLC A Dayakar, and state advisor Mohammed Shabbir Ali. BJP leaders K Laxman and DK Aruna also attended the ceremony.Other notable attendees included Lokayukta Justice A Rajashekher Reddy, advocate general A Sudarshan Reddy, additional advocate general T Rajanikanth Reddy, additional solicitor general B Narasimha, deputy solicitor general Gadi Praveen Kumar, along with several senior advocates and law officers.
