Ranchi: Jharkhand Andolankari Sangharsh Morcha (JASM), which was formed by people who fought for a separate state, has announced an indefinite dharna near the state assembly from Monday to press for an increase in their honorarium, jobs for their dependants, and several other demands.JASM, in a statement, said that state govt should withdraw the provision related to a jail term for inclusion of such people and provide them a pension of Rs 50,000 each. It stated that the govt should provide direct appointments to their dependants and also issue a gazette notification for the highest honour to Shibu Soren.JASM founder Pushkar Mahto said, “Thousands of participants will carry traditional weapons, flags, badges and banners to fight for their pride. There is resentment among revolutionaries over non-fulfilment of their demands.”He stated that they would gather at Birsa Chowk, where they would first garland the statue of Birsa Munda and then march towards the assembly for the dharna.JASM stated that Jharkhand Pradesh Yuva Andolankari Morcha, Jharkhand Visthapit Sangharsh Morcha and Khatiyani Pariwar would support their agitation.
