Kanpur: Jan Chaupals were organised in 10 villages across Kanpur Nagar district on Friday to address complaints received through IGRS. Around 40 of 62 complaints were resolved on the spot, said the officials. The Jan Chaupals were held under the leadership of the chief development officer, Kanpur Nagar, in line with the govt intent of ‘Village problems, village solutions’ one village from each development block, identified as having the highest number of IGRS complaints in the district. A large number of villagers participated. Nodal officers also conducted inspections and verifications of cleanliness campaigns, works in gram panchayats, MGNREGA work, wage payments, work done with Finance Commission funds and othersin the development blocks. Officials said the main complaints received related to irregular pension deposits in accounts, drainage, road construction, and housing demands.
