Hubballi: The 7th International Kite Festival and Sansad Samskrutika Utsav, presented by Union minister Pralhad Joshi, will be organised on Feb 7 and 8 near Oxford College on Kusugal Road in Hubballi.Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, MLA Mahesh Tenginkai said famous kite flyers from various countries and India will be taking part in the fest. He said kites of birds and animals, embodied in various colourful ideas, will be flown.
Tenginkai said the International Kite Festival, which is held in Gujarat, Goa and Ahmedabad, was introduced to this part and is being organised for the 7th consecutive time in Hubballi city. He said sports such as yoga, mallakamba, lagori, tug-of-war and chinni-dandu competition will also be organised.He added that famous singer Jaskaran Singh, Divya Ramachandra, and the playback singer and music composer Nakul Abhyankar and Sonu Nigam will perform a medley of songs at the event.
