Iran, March 13: Students of Shiraz Medical University have safely reached Qom and will proceed towards Azerbaijan, Armenia once their visas are issued.
Meanwhile, another group of students who departed from Qom has reached the border and is currently waiting for immigration clearance.
Students from Urmia University have already crossed the border into Armenia and are heading towards hotels. They are safe. Those who have flights scheduled for 14 March will soon leave for the airport for their onward journey.
Meanwhile, 27 students from Arak Medical University, along with a few others, have also reached the border safely. They are currently staying in a hotel near the border and are safe. Their flight tickets are scheduled for 20 March.
Additionally, AIMSA has received calls from several students of Arak University on 12 March evening stating that a building adjacent to their dormitory was attacked, raising serious safety concerns. Students have requested urgent attention from the authorities.
Students from Isfahan University have also requested relocation due to safety concerns.
Dr. Mohammad Momin Khan, of the All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA), is urging the Indian Embassy in Iran to immediately relocate all Indian citizens and students to safer locations amid growing security concerns in several cities. He has been in constant contact with students and authorities regarding evacuation and safety arrangements.
