Patna: A joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) and Bihar Police busted an illegal lottery racket in the Bypass police station area of Patna City on Tuesday. The team seized tickets and coupons worth around Rs1 crore and arrested 18 people. Acting on a tip-off, police raided a building in Paijawa, where suspects tried to flee but were caught. Items recovered included printing machines, paper bundles, coloured ink, and pre-printed tickets. SDPO Gaurav Kumar said the network may be extensive, with links to other districts and states, and further interrogation is underway.
