Gurgaon: Illegal constructions were sealed in the city and three unauthorised colonies demolished in the Pataudi subdivision on Feb 25 during an enforcement drive carried out by the town and country planning department in presence of police personnel. Officials said the action targeted violations flagged through complaints and unauthorised plotting in peripheral urban areas. As part of the drive, an illegal floor at Enkay Town Plaza in Palam Vihar was sealed following a complaint received through the CM Window grievance portal. In a separate action, an unauthorised office operating from the club premises of Brisk Lumbini, a group housing society in Sector 109, was also sealed. Officials said the premises were being used in violation of approved land use norms.
Action was also taken against three unauthorised colonies in Pataudi subdivision. A 4-acre colony in Narhera saw 15 plot demarcations and internal earthen roads removed. In village Pataudi, a 2.5-acre illegal layout was cleared, with five boundary walls and road networks demolished. Another four-acre colony in Jatoli witnessed demolition of plot demarcations, one under-construction structure and partial removal of two houses.In village Jatoli, an unauthorised colony spread over about four acres was targeted. Five plot demarcations and foundations were removed, one under-construction structure was demolished and two houses were partly demolished.“Due procedure was followed and police were present to maintain law and order,” an official said, adding that the drive is part of ongoing action against illegal construction, unauthorised colonies and misuse of premises in Gurgaon and surrounding areas.Enforcement teams will continue to act on complaints and carry out field operations to check violations of building and land use norms across the district, officials said.
