Dhanbad: IIT-ISM Dhanbad will start a special skill development training programme to empower the unemployed and underprivileged youth of the district. The initiative seeks to make students and unskilled youths financially independent by equipping them with market oriented professional skills. The institute’s management presented its plan to Dhanbad DC Aditya Ranjan on Saturday. Ranjan said it has the potential to create more jobs and bring about social change. “This programme will open doors of opportunity for many youths of Dhanbad, especially those from weaker sections and displaced families from Jharia, who are now settled in Belgaria,” Ranjan said.
