Cuttack: Idco chairperson Usha Padhee on Friday visited Kuspangi and Bali villages in Athagarh tehsil to review plans for proposed industrial parks. Padhee, who heads the Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Idco), conducted a field inspection of identified land parcels along with Cuttack collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde and senior officials from the district administration and Idco.During the visit, the team assessed land availability and reviewed critical aspects required for the proposed industrial parks, including road connectivity, power supply, water availability and other essential infrastructure. Officials said the site inspection was aimed at finalising feasibility and planning for industrial clusters.Padhee emphasised that developing well-planned industrial parks is central to the state’s strategy of attracting investment, strengthening the industrial ecosystem and ensuring balanced regional development. She said the proposed park at Kuspangi has strong potential to draw new industries and generate employment opportunities for local youth.“The aim is to create industry-ready infrastructure so that investors can set up units quickly. These parks will act as growth centres and boost economic activity in the region,” Padhee said during the visit. He also stressed the need for close coordination between Idco and the district administration to expedite planning and ensure timely implementation of the project.Collector (Cuttack) Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said the district administration will extend full cooperation to facilitate the project. “The administration is working closely with Idco to complete land-related processes and ensure necessary infrastructure support so that the proposed industrial parks can be developed in a time-bound manner,” he said.He said proposed industrial parks are expected to play a key role in strengthening industrial growth in Cuttack district while creating new employment avenues in the Athagarh region.
