Hisar: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband with an axe following a domestic dispute in Jandali Khurd village of Fatehabad district on Saturday.The victim was identified as Sudesh. The police arrested the accused husband and initiated further proceedings.Bhuna police station in-charge sub-inspector Om Prakash said the police received information that a woman was seriously injured after her husband attacked her in Jandali Khurd village. Acting promptly, a police team reached the spot and began the investigation into the incident, he said.Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, Rajbir alias Raju, a resident of Hasangarh village in Hisar district, a case of murder was registered against the accused, Sukhwinder Singh alias Ghoghar, a resident of Jandali Khurd village in Fatehabad, said Om Prakash.In his complaint to the police, Rajbir stated that his sister, Sudesh, was married to Sukhwinder Singh alias Ghoghar, and the couple had two children. He alleged that the accused frequently assaulted his sister. On March 7, he received a phone call informing him that Sukhwinder Singh attacked Sudesh with an axe and killed her.After receiving the information, Rajbir, along with other family members, rushed to Jandali Khurd village, where they found Sudesh lying dead on the floor in a room.The police said after registering the case, the accused, Sukhwinder Singh alias Ghoghar, son of Rajbir Singh, was arrested.
