Jaipur: Food Safety and Drug Control Commissionerate will issue a notice to VADSP Pharmaceutical in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, after a batch of Qcepod 200 supplied to Jaipur-based Iqumed Healthcare was found to contain no trace of cephalosporin, the active ingredient in the third-generation antibiotic.A senior FSDCC official said the company will be directed to submit complete production and supply records, including bills and related documents. The move is part of the FSDCC’s effort to establish the supply chain link between the seized medicine in Rajasthan and the manufacturer. Official said investigation at manufacturer’s end is underway. After inquiry, the FSDCC will file a court case against the company if it is found guilty.TNN
