Ranchi: Casual workers of the Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) protested in front of the company headquarters on Monday against the withdrawal of service facilities.The agitators, under the banner of HEC Supply Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti, shouted slogans against the HEC management.A participant, Ranthu Lohra, said, “We demand restoration of earlier working conditions. Contractors employing casual workers would not give Sundays, gazetted holidays, dearness allowance, provident fund, under the new rules. “The workers have been agitating in front of the headquarters since July 1.
