“The accused, Gulshan, harassed his minor daughter and forced her into marriage. Three days prior to the murder, the accused threatened to kill her if she did not agree. On the day of the murder, Chetan, along with his wife, went to work, leaving only his son and daughter at home. During this time, the accused arrived and began arguing with Poonam. His son, Tarun, also arrived. As the dispute escalated, the accused stabbed the two siblings to death,” the prosecution said.The prosecution added that after the incident, the accused went to the police station and confessed, saying he had murdered them and asked police to collect their bodies. In an order dated Feb 7, presiding officer Lokendra Singh Shekhawat awarded life imprisonment and imposed the fine, stating: “If any leniency is shown in such cases, it will send a wrong message in the society.”
