Prayagraj: The Allahabad high court has granted bail to YouTuber and comedian Mani Miraj alias Ramdi Miraj Alam, who is accused in a case of rape and assault.The survivor had filed an FIR at Khoda police station in Ghaziabad last year, alleging that the accused befriended her while they worked together, but later raped her and backed out of a marriage promise. The accused has been lodged in jail since Oct 6, 2025. During the course of the hearing, the survivor appeared before the court and gave a written statement, stating that the applicant has now agreed to marry her under the Special Marriage Act. The survivor’s counsel stated before the court that, since both the applicant and the complainant have entered into a compromise, he has no objection to the accused being released on bail.The state counsel opposed the bail, saying that serious allegations, which are cognizable offence, have been levelled against the YouTuber. However, considering all the facts and submissions and without making any comment on the merit of the case, Justice Gautam Chowdhary, in an order dated Feb 17, directed that the applicant be released on bail.
