GURGAON: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday announced a series of housing, infrastructure and welfare measures in Badshahpur.While handing over keys to 2,709 beneficiaries at a housing allocation programme in Kakrola village — in a step towards housing for all — Saini said over 23,154 houses will be built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), while 15,251 plots will be allotted in urban areas. He said Haryana is “playing a pivotal role in translating the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 into reality”.The CM outlined multiple infrastructure projects for the constituency, including the upgrade of the Farrukhnagar-Gurgaon Road into a four-lane stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 365 crore and construction of a community centre in Budhera village.He also announced widening of roads in New Gurgaon sectors up to 24 metres, a water treatment plant in Tikli village and sewerage works worth Rs 88 crore.Other proposals include a cremation ground in sectors 90 to 95, new fire stations in Gurgaon, Manesar and Farrukhnagar and repair and maintenance of several roads. “The focus is not just on announcements but on ensuring time-bound implementation with visible impact,” he said.Highlighting development in the area, the chief minister said projects worth over Rs 15,000 crore have been implemented in Badshapur in the last decade, compared to less than Rs 1,000 crore earlier. Of 81 announcements, 60 have been completed while the rest are in progress. “This reflects the govt’s commitment to turning promises into outcomes on the ground,” he added.Environmental initiatives were also announced, including a 200-acre ‘Namo Van’ project in the Aravali region at a cost of Rs 26 crore to boost green cover and tourism. A budget provision of Rs 100 crore has also been made for maintenance of parks and green belts.
