Harry Kane starred for Bayern Munich with a brilliant hat trick in a 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart in the final of the German Cup, also known as DFB Pokal. The victory helped Bayern complete a domestic double after already winning the Bundesliga title earlier this season.The match was briefly overshadowed by fan protests against the German Football Association over proposed security measures. Supporters from both clubs displayed banners and set off massive fireworks, filling the stadium with smoke and causing poor visibility during the game.Despite the chaotic atmosphere, Kane stepped up in the second half. He opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a diving header from Michael Olise’s cross. Soon after, fireworks from Bayern fans forced a short pause in play because of the smoke around the pitch.Kane continued troubling Stuttgart’s defence and nearly scored again after smashing a powerful shot against the crossbar. He finally got his second goal in the 80th minute after being set up by Luis Díaz, calmly finishing into the bottom corner.In stoppage time, Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller conceded a handball penalty, allowing Kane to complete his hat trick from the spot. The striker ended the season with an incredible 61 goals across all competitions, including the Bundesliga, German Cup, Champions League and Super Cup.The win also marked Bayern’s first German Cup final appearance since 2000, when they last completed a domestic double. Kane’s performance capped off a dream season for both the striker and the club.
