Gandhinagar: The state govt informed the assembly on Wednesday that the Anti-Corruption Bureau registered cases against 187 govt employees in 2025. The govt said that, charges were proven against 37 officers and employees, while 101 were declared innocent. The home department accounted for the highest number of officers and employees against whom cases were registered: one Class I officer, two Class III officers, and 60 Class III employees other than officers.To a question from Congress MLA Amit Chavda, the state govt gave a written reply stating that the ACB also registered cases against 16 Union govt officers and employees in the year, including one Class I officer, eight Class II officers, and six Class III employees and one Class IV employee other than officers.In the reply, the govt said that in 2025, cases were registered against 17 officers and employees of the panchayats and rural development department, 27 of the revenue department, 10 of the education department, three of the health department, eight of the energy and petrochemicals department and seven of the industries department, among others.
