Ahmedabad: The state unit of the Congress party on Tuesday wrote a letter to the governor, demanding action against the vice-chancellor of GTU, Civil Hospital superintendent, and head of the paraplegia department for violating govt service rules by attending an event of the BJP at the state party headquarters on Feb 1.A screening of the Union Budget was organized by the BJP at the state party headquarters.Speaking to reporters, state Congress media convener Manish Doshi said, “Dr Rakesh Joshi, superintendent of Civil Hospital, Dr Piyush Mittal, head of the paraplegia department, and Rajul Gajjar, the vice-chancellor of Gujarat Technological University, were present at the event. These officials violated Gujarat service rules. Additionally, Rajul Gajjar clearly breached Clause 15(F) of Chapter 3 of the Gujarat Public University Act.“Doshi added that the service rules prohibit govt employees from participating in or associating with any political party.
