Bengaluru: Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) and the city’s five corporations have begun using new logos across their official websites and social media platforms. The logos were finalised at an executive committee meeting on March 20 chaired by deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar. While an official unveiling was expected, the designs have instead been introduced without a formal launch. The GBA logo features a circular format with the authority’s name in Kannada and English, retaining the Kempegowda-era boundary tower from the former BBMP emblem. It also includes an image of Kempegowda. The five corporations have adopted logos that retain only the boundary tower motif, each differentiated by distinct colour schemes and bilingual text. Officials said the designs were created by students of Chitrakala Parishath.“As many as 58 draft logo designs were prepared, reflecting a mix of heritage and contemporary styles. The selected ones were picked during the meeting,” a senior official said. He added that while the boundary tower remains a unifying symbol, each corporation’s identity has been tailored through unique visual elements.
