Nagpur: The state govt has released Rs5 crore to Nagpur Flying Club for financial year 2025-26, with the funds cleared through supplementary demands during the Winter Session of the legislature in December 2025.The grant was approved via a GR issued on Wednesday by the General Administration Department. Of the total amount, Rs2 crore has been sanctioned under the non-salary grant head and Rs3 crore under the salary grant head.The Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur has been designated as the controlling officer for the funds, while the Tahsildar (General Administration) attached to the Divisional Commissioner’s office will function as the drawing and disbursing officer. The club is required to spend the grant strictly for the purpose for which it was sanctioned. A utilisation certificate must be submitted within the prescribed deadline to both the state govt and the office of the Accountant General. The Divisional Commissioner, who also serves as president of the club, will be responsible for ensuring that expenditure matches the sanctioned purpose and that accounts are reconciled with the Accountant General’s records.
