BATHINDA: The Muktsar sessions judge granted bail to gangster Satinderjit Singh @ Goldy Brar’s mother, Preetpal Kaur, in a Rs 50 lakh extortion case. Preetpal and her husband, Shamsher Singh, both residents of Muktsar, were arrested from Amritsar on Jan 26. While Preetpal was granted relief, the bail application of Shamsher was yet to be filed, said the couple’s counsel, Babu Singh. The case was registered on Dec 3, 2024, after a govt school teacher complained of receiving repeated threats from an international number. Initially, the case was registered against unidentified persons, but later Shamsher and Preetpal were named in the case.
