Panaji: Reduced wind activity led to a rise in daytime temperatures across parts of Goa on Saturday, even as minimum temperatures dipped slightly below normal levels.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Panaji reached 33.4°C, while Mormugao recorded a higher 34°C. The increase in day temperatures has been attributed to relatively calm winds compared to the previous day, limiting heat dispersion.Humidity levels also saw a noticeable rise in the capital, with Panaji recording 69% humidity — three percentage points above normal for this time of year. In contrast, conditions remained relatively comfortable in Mormugao.Despite the warmer days, nights were marginally cooler. Panaji recorded a minimum temperature of 23°C, which is 1°C below normal, while Mormugao registered the lowest minimum temperature at 22.8°C, 1.8°C below normal. The IMD forecast dry weather and largely sunny conditions across Goa over the next week.
