Garhwa: A two-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in Garhwa district on Monday. The accused has been arrested, police said on Tuesday.Quoting the surviver’s relatives, DSP Rohit Ranjan said, “The father, along with the minor girl, had gone to an area to check a tractor that had broken down. The accused paternal uncle was present at the site. He took the girl on his lap and disappeared. The father thought that the accused was taking the girl home. Sometime later, the accused returned with the unconscious girl in his lap. Seeing the girl’s condition, the father asked the accused what had happened to his daughter but the accused did not answer and fled.” “The survivor was taken to the local govt hospital on Monday around 10 pm. Doctors referred her to a hospital in Medininagar, where she is admitted in critical care,” he added.
