Prayagraj: The court of the district magistrate (Pratapgarh) on Thursday ordered the attachment of properties worth over Rs 31.10 lakh of one Raj Kumar Verma at Tina Bhadri Kala village in Pratapgarh under the Gangsters Act.Verma has 31 criminal cases, including loot, fraud, theft, Arms Act, Explosive Act and the Gangster Act, registered against him in different police stations of Pratapgarh. The assets to be attached include a residential house spread around 137.8sqm at Bhadri Kala village, and seizure of all bank accounts in connection with the case registered against him with Antoo police station under section 2/3 of the UP Gangsters Act. The first case against Verma was registered with Antoo police station in 2023 and later more cases were lodged with other police stations. The Gangster Act case against Verma was lodged in 2024.
