Vadodara: The Vadodara division of Western Railway has announced free public access to its key heritage attractions at Pratapnagar from April 13 to 18, 2026, to mark World Heritage Day.The Railway Heritage Museum, Rolling Stock Park and Heritage Park will remain open daily from 9am to 5pm, allowing visitors to explore the legacy of Indian Railways free of cost.The initiative aims to promote greater public engagement with the country’s railway history and technological evolution.Anubhav Saxena, public relations officer of the Vadodara division, said the weeklong free entry is intended to give citizens an opportunity to closely experience and appreciate the heritage assets preserved by the railways.Senior divisional mechanical engineer Anil Kumar said the Railway Heritage Museum at Pratapnagar showcases the narrow-gauge legacy of Indian Railways. The exhibits also highlight the evolution of railway technology over the years, helping educate future generations.
