Hisar: A Sirsa youth was allegedly duped of Rs 57 lakh by Vijender Singh of Dahman village who posed as the Chief Minister’s OSD’s aide and promised a clerical job at Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar.In his complaint, the youth from Khajakhera Rangadkhera village stated that one and a half years ago, Vijender Singh’s brother-in-law Naresh Yadav, a resident of Preet Nagar on Begu Road in Sirsa, told him that Vijender earlier served as PA to the Chief Minister’s OSD and had strong connections within the govt. He claimed that if any eligible relative was seeking a govt job, Vijender could secure a clerical position for them at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.Falling into the trap, the complainant transferred Rs 15.47 lakh online to the accused’s account. The remaining Rs 41.53 lakh was allegedly handed over in cash at Dahman village in the presence of witnesses, including Amar Singh of Darba Kalan village, Deen Dayal of Phulka village, and the complainant’s brother, Ashok Saini. However, neither was the job arranged nor was the money returned. The complainant alleged that the accused kept delaying repayment on various pretexts.According to the complaint, a settlement was reached between the two parties on June 13, 2025, in which Vijender reportedly agreed to return the entire Rs 57 lakh. However, later he refused to honour the agreement. Subsequently, the victim approached the police.
