Thiruvananthapuram: Museum police on Wednesday arrested four Pattom residents in connection with the assault of a man, during which gold jewellery and cash were stolen from him. The arrested are Ashiq, 32, Sreejith, 32, Ansar, 34, and Naufal, 33. Police said Naufal is a habitual offender.The incident occurred around 4pm on Feb 6 when the gang allegedly attacked Sunil Kumar, 46, at his house at Pattom. They assaulted him using wire and other objects.
The gang transferred Rs 16,000 from his phone to another account and stole two gold necklaces weighing around1.5 sovereigns. The accused were arrested based on CCTV visuals and mobile phone tracking with the help of the shadow police team.
