Mufti rued India’s change in foreign policy and for siding with Israel and Netanyahu who she described as a “war criminal and massive murderer”. She said India had centuries-old relations with Iran, a country that continued oil supplies to India despite sanctions after the nuclear tests in 1990s.
“It’s not good that we have changed our policy now. Iran has supported India in extremely tough times. Today, India is supporting Netanyahu who has been declared a war criminal by the International Criminal Court for genocide in Gaza. It is very unfortunate that India is standing with a criminal and a massive murderer,” said Mufti.
She extended solidarity with people of Iran and wished them victory against the ‘Epstein gang’.
“People of Kashmir, pray for the victory of Iran against evil. Iran is fighting alone against the ‘Epstein gang’. Everybody who has been named in the Epstein files is siding with Netanyahu, whether by compulsion or own will. Netanyahu is the mastermind and kingpin of the Epstein files,” said Mufti. She raised the issue of stranded Kashmiri students in Iran with the Iranian Ambassador.
The Rajya Sabha members from NC –– Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi –– also visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran where they met Mohammad Fathali and expressed, on behalf of the people of J&K and party president Farooq Abdullah and the Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah, deep anguish and sorrow over the tragic assassination of Khamenei.
The NC spokesperson said the Rajya Sabha members strongly condemned the unilateral and barbaric attack carried out by the United States and Israel on a sovereign nation. “Such actions are in clear violation of international law and pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region,” read the official NC statement.
