The notice required Kishan to provide an explanation within three days of receiving it. Police warned that failure to comply could result in his arrest.The notice, citing the victim’s statement submitted to the high court, stated that the accused forcibly took Yadagiri’s phone and the councillor election certificate issued by the returning officer for Ibrahimpatnam Municipality, and abducted and wrongfully confined him in a room while threatening him for over three days.Yadagiri’s family alleged that he was abducted after the accused learned he had won the councillor election. The BRS councillor was first taken to a resort in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, where he was confined, and was later moved to a farmhouse in Tukkuguda. On the day of the election to select the chairman of Ibrahimpatnam Municipality, Yadagiri was allegedly driven to the municipality by Kishan’s son, Prashanth Reddy.
