Amravati: As Stage 3 of World Cup Archery got off to a flying start at Antalya, Turkey’s new venue, Gloria Sports Area, on Tuesday, Indian compound men and women did well during the qualifications, securing the third and second seeding for the team events.India’s mixed team also earned fifth seeding, while for individual events, Sahil Jadhav of Satara and Jyothi Surekha Vennam earned fourth and seventh seeding, respectively.Though the team was minus former world champion Aditi Swami and Shanghai 2025 individual gold medal winner Madhura Dhamangaonkar of Amravati, the experienced Jyothi combined well with Parneet Kaur and new entrant Chikhitha Taniparthi to earn India second seeding (2091 points) behind Mexico (2092), guided by world No.1 Andrea Becerra, Adriana Castillo and Dafne Quintero.Indian men also did well to secure the third seeding as Sahil, debutant Ganesh Ratnam Thirumuru and Rishabh Yadav collectively shot 2119 for the third spot behind hosts Turkiye (2123) and Korea.In compound mixed team, Jadhav and Jyothi, with a tally of 1410, earned India fifth seeding, shooting 41 Xs and 75 10s together.As for the individual event, Sahil was ranked fourth with a score of 710, while Jyothi (700) was ranked seventh.On Wednesday, qualification rounds for recurve archers will be held, where Amravati archers Kumkum Mohod and Yashdeep Bhoge will be seen in action.
