Hazaribag: Five men, aged between 19 and 25 years, were arrested for murdering a man in Hazaribag during Ram Navami procession on March 29, the police said on Saturday. The accused, identified as Vinay Kumar Vinayak (19), Shyam Kumar (20), Aditya Kumar Hari (25), Rishi Kumar (20) and Sameer Valmiki (20) were forwarded to judicial custody on Saturday. All are residents of Gadikhana locality of the city.SP Anjani Anjan said the accused had a prior dispute with the victim Abhishek Verma and had an argument under the influence of alcohol. On March 29, a chaos erupted at Jhanda Chowk during Ram Navami procession. Verma was attacked with sharp weapons and died of his injuries in a hospital. A special investigation team was constituted to crack the case, the SP added.
