Kanpur: Five Kanpur girls were seleted for the UP team which will participate in U-23 one-day championship of BCCI to be held in Pune from March 3. UP will play its first match against Odissa.The selected girls are Archana Devi, Tripti Singh, Siddhi Singh, Siddhi Mishra and Babita Yadav. Archana, who led the one-day senior women’s team, was appointed as captain.Archana Devi is an off-break bowler, while Tripti Singh and Babita Yadav are both batters. Siddhi Singh and Siddhi Mishra are an off-break bowler and a left-hand spinner, respectively.Dr Sanjay Kapoor, S N Singh and Kaushal Kumar Singh, chairman, president and general secretary of KCA, greeted the selected players and wished the for their best performance.
