Kanpur: A fire broke out at a plastic scrap warehouse in Koyla Nagar under Chakeri police station of Kanpur out late Sunday night.Though no casualty was reported, all stored material were reduced to ashes in the fire. Police said four fire tenders were pressed into service, who brought the fire under control after about 45 minutes of effort. Koyla Nagar chowki in-charge Rashtradip Singh said the warehouse belonged to one Ejaz. ” The fire broke out suddenly and engulfed the entire warehouse in no time. However, the cause of fire was yet to be ascertained.”Fire officer Rahul Nandan said that after receiving information from the control room, the fire was extinguished with the help of four fire tenders. He said the operation of the warehouse was being investigated and if it was found to be in violation of standards, legal action would be taken as per rules.
