Sonipat: A 50-year-old man allegedly slit the throat of his 23-year-old daughter following a domestic dispute at their residence in Gohana town of Sonipat district on Sunday. Police have arrested the man, Anil, along with his son, Rahul, in connection with the murder.The deceased, Chinu, was a student of general nursing and midwifery at a private college. Police said Chinu and her father—who is in the transport business—were involved in a heated argument just before the murder. Neighbours alerted the police after hearing a commotion from the house. Gohana DCP Jitendra Gehlawat said both the accused and his son are being questioned to ascertain the exact motive. While police cited a domestic dispute as the immediate trigger, sources indicate a possible “honour killing” angle, suspecting the victim was in a relationship that caused tension within the family.
