Jaipur: Industries dept has decentralised the approval process under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme and for MSME units to enable faster clearances and wider outreach. Now, general managers of District Industries and Commerce Centres (DICCs) will directly scrutinise and approve applications under both schemes.Earlier, approvals were routed through district-level task force committees.Suresh Kumar Ola, commissioner (Industries), said, “With these committees now dissolved and the power transferred to DICC general managers, applications will no longer await periodic meetings, significantly reducing processing time and accelerating benefit disbursal.”The reform followed an announcement made during the general discussion on the state Budget 2026–27. Ola said the digitisation of application processes for 3 policies—ODOP, MSME, and Export Promotion—led to a sharp rise in demand.Ola said, “Since Feb 1, 245 applications were received: 72 under ODOP, 77 under MSME Policy, and 96 under Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy-2024. This translated to an average of 9 applications per day, compared to fewer than 2 per day under the earlier offline system.”MSMEs can avail margin grants of up to Rs 20 lakh, technology and software subsidies up to Rs 5 lakh, reimbursement up to Rs 3 lakh for quality certification and IPR, Rs 2 lakh support for marketing events, e-commerce fee reimbursement up to Rs 1 lakh annually for 2 years, and Rs 75,000 one-time assistance for cataloguing and website development.
