J&K National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi and signed the condolence book on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Spiritual and Supreme Leader of Iran.
During the visit party President expressed deep anguish and profound sorrow over the tragic assassination of the revered leader. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Farooq Abdullah also strongly condemned the attack carried out by the United States and Israel on a sovereign nation, stating that such actions are in clear violation of international law and pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.
He was accompanied by MPs Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi.
