Bathinda: Adding to the woes of farmers already reeling from recent storms, more rain lashed parts of the Malwa region on Tuesday.Rainfall was reported across Faridkot, Muktsar, Bathinda, and Fazilka districts. Heavy rain and a brief hailstorm hit Dalmir Khera village in Abohar, while high-velocity winds and heavy rain lasted for over half an hour in Sukhna Ablu in Muktsar and Khuia Sarwar in Fazilka. Similar conditions were reported in Bhaloor and Ratti Rodi in Moga and Pipli village in Faridkot. “We are still reeling from the severe rain and hailstorms of April 3 and 4. These fresh rains will only cause more misery. The affected area is growing with every passing hour,” said farmers Santokh Singh and Karamjit Singh of Sivian village in Bathinda.
