Kanpur: A farmer was allegedly abducted from his home, beaten and murdered in the Gangaghat police station area of Unnao. Police have arrested three people and are searching for others.Shiv Dayal Shukla, son of the farmer Manokant Shukla, 52, a resident of Basadhna under the Gangaghat Kotwali area, said 7-8 people including Vipin Singh and Chhotu Sanki took his father away. Family members alleged that the accused after brutally beating up Manokant, murdered him before dumping the body. The body was found near Singhupur. The family family filed a complaint at the chowki, howeverno action as taken they alleged. CO (City) Deepak Yadav said that on March 9, a case was registered at Gangaghat police station on the complaint of the deceased’s wife, Suman. The police arrested three accused, while the search for the other accused was ongoing, the CO said.The investigation revealed that the named accused, Vipin and Chhotu Sanki, used to visit the deceased’s place, and on the night of March 8, a dispute arose over some matter after he was beaten and abducted. When the murder was confirmed , relevant sections were added to the case, the police officer further said.The named accused, Vipin and Chhotu Sanki, along with another accused, Ajay, were arrested. Further legal proceedings were underway, and efforts continued to trace other possible accused in the case, the police said.After learning about the incident, local representatives visited the post-mortem house on Tuesday and met the family members.
