Bengaluru: Two women and as many children travelling to Delhi from Bengaluru by a train have been reported missing.Sushma, her sister-in-law and the former’s two children — Anaya and Pradyumn — left for Delhi onboard 12627 Karnataka Express at 7.20pm Wednesday. As the train takes 36-38 hours to complete the journey, the family was expected to reach Delhi by around 9am Friday. However, the family is yet to reach their home in Delhi, according to Sushma’s husband Sumit.In a desperate attempt, Sumit took to X Sunday, seeking help from railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.According to Railway Protection Force (RPF). Sumit stated that his wife and the three others had boarded the train at the KSR railway station in Bengaluru.Sumit told RPF that Sushma does not have a mobile phone due to which he was unable to contact her. Thursday, he visited RPF’s office to check the CCTV footage, in which Sushma was spotted. Police assume the man got worried after being unable to contact his sister, who would have a phone.RPF maintained that the investigation is in progress and no information has been ascertained as of Sunday. “All en route stations have already been advised to check for the missing family,” a senior RPF officer told TOI.
