Mangalore: Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC), Mangaluru, in collaboration with District Industries Centre (DIC), will hold an Export Management Training Programme (EMTP) from March 9 to 14 at District Small Industries Association meeting hall in Yeyyadi.The six-day programme will provide information on international business and offer detailed insights into export operations. It will cover an introduction to export business and World Trade Organisation (WTO), the institutional framework for exports, foreign trade policies and procedures, export procedures and documentation, export markets and costs, financial schemes from banks, the role of export promotion organisations, insurance, customs and central excise formalities, e-commerce and digital marketing, and central and state export incentives. Participants will also go on exposure visits to New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) and local export units.
Participants will receive certificates, a release stated. Experts with experience in these fields, including officials from various central and state government agencies, will serve as guest lecturers. The programme will benefit MSME entrepreneurs planning to start export businesses, existing exporters, traders, representatives of educational institutions teaching export business, and students interested in the field.Those wishing to register can apply on the VTPC website (vtpc.karnataka.gov.in) by Feb 28, the release added.
