Bhubaneswar: Former minister Raghunath Mohanty and former MLA Jiban Pradip Das, both leaders from Balasore district, joined the BJD in the presence of party president Naveen Patnaik here on Wednesday. Naveen said the BJD will become stronger in Balasore after this. He advised both of them to further expand the organisational work of the party in the district. Expressing gratitude to the party president, Mohanty and Das announced that they will work to strengthen the BJD in all eight assembly constituencies of Balasore district, along with Badasahi constituency of Mayurbhanj district. Das recently resigned from the BJP.
