Kurukshetra: Police have arrested Gaganjot Sandhu, son of former Haryana INLD minister Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, for allegedly opening fire at a businessman from Patiala over a land dispute in Gumthala Garhu village in Kurukshetra district.Police said the action was taken on an FIR registered on the complaint of Sandeep, the businessman. He had taken about 1 acre of land on lease from Gaganjot’s brother, Harkirat Singh, near Gumthala Garhu along national highway 152. He alleged Gaganjot arrived at the site on March 29 armed with a gun and opened fire at him, leaving him with injuries on his leg. Police said a team from Pehowa Sadar police station arrested the accused within hours. Police also recovered a 12-bore gun used in the crime, an empty cartridge, and a car.
