Namakkal: DMK deputy general secretary Kanimozhi on Thursday accused AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami of betraying minorities and presenting welfare schemes introduced by the DMK govt as his party’s election promises.Kanimozhi campaigned for her party candidate K P Mani in Namakkal constituency; S Balu in Kumarapalayam constituency; KA Sekar in Bhavani constituency; S Muthusamy in Erode West constituecy; and Congress candidate Gopinath Palaniappan in Erode East constituency. Addressing the public in Namakkal, Kanimozhi alleged that AIADMK’s alliance with the BJP, which was pursuing anti-farmer policies, was against the public welfare. “The proposed changes to the 100-day employment scheme will affect poor people,” she said. Kanimozhi attacked the central govt for its move to bring delimitation measures without consulting the public or elected MLAs and MPs. “There is still no clarity on how many seats will be increased or reduced through the process,” she said. “This assembly election is a contest between social justice and RSS ideology,” she added.
