Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) published a new timeline for first-year degree engineering and diploma-to-degree engineering admissions in Gujarat. According to the revised schedule, new registrations for degree engineering will be open until July 22. The final merit list for the second round will be released on July 26, following the supplementary exam results.Students who missed the registration for diploma-to-degree engineering and pharmacy programmes will have an opportunity to register from June 28 to June 30. Sources indicate that the admission process started after the Class 12 Science results were declared. In the first round, 18,098 of the 59,229 available seats in 139 degree engineering colleges were filled. Due to the recent improvement and supplementary exam schedules, ACPC adjusted the admission timeline.Under the new schedule, choice-filling for the third round will take place from Aug 2 to Aug 4, with admissions being allocated on Aug 6. For diploma-to-degree courses, the mock round choice-filling was already completed.In response to the release of final semester results by universities, many candidates requested a new registration period. ACPC will therefore open the portal from June 28 to June 30. The first-round choice filling will start on July 4, and admissions will be allocated on July 9. Candidates must confirm their admission by July 12, and classes will begin on July 14.Notably, 19,609 candidates took the entrance exam for diploma-to-degree engineering and pharmacy programmes, with 13,692 students confirming their registration by paying fees.
